About Veronica
Hi, I'm Veronica Navarrete, a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, clarity, and practical tools for growth. I hold a master's in social work from NMSU and have been practicing since 2009. For 18 years, I've supported clients managing anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and life transitions, using a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and strengths-based approaches.
Through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), I focus on challenging and changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and developing personal coping strategies that target solving current personal stressors.
You don't have to go through this alone. Whatever you're facing stress, anxiety, grief, or simply feeling stuck — your feelings are valid, and your story matters. You'll have a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be heard, supported, and truly seen. We'll work at your pace to find clarity, healing, and hope. I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

"I want to provide the highest quality of clinical services, to promote the emotional, relational, and your overall potential. "
Get to know Veronica
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I am the oldest of five. It's in my nature to help and be there for others.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work very well with adolescents (beginning at age 13) and adults up to the age of 60.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
We are human. We may have an off day; we may say the wrong thing. We are human too, and while we make mistakes, we will do our best to communicate with you and make it right!
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Your first therapy session is a safe, judgment-free space where you and I will get to know each other. You’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. I may ask questions about your background, current challenges, and what support looks like for you. This session is not about solving everything right away—it’s about building trust, understanding your needs, and creating a plan together for moving forward at your own pace.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I believe therapy is a collaborative journey — one where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and tailored to your unique needs, whether you’re seeking short-term solutions or deeper self-discovery.
