"As a person with ADHD, I know how difficult starting something new can be. As a counselor, I understand that each client is different and I approach therapy as a unique journey."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I want to be the help that I needed as a young person. When I was faced with big changes in my life I looked for support and thought that it was hard to find so I was motivated to be the support that someone else may need at a difficult time.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are ready for change, who want to do the work of therapy, and who have an idea of what they want their lives to be like and are ready to work towards that.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with clients who can imagine a better situation for themselves and want to work towards that.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Therapy is not limited to the session time; you are always working on yourself, and taking what is said in session and working on it or thinking about it at other times is such a positive move in your therapy journey.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I want to work with people what want to change, who are looking for help, and are ready. Thriveworks has so many clients come to them, they accept insurance and make therapy assessable and I am excited by that. I feel that I could have the opportunity to connect with, and help, so many people that are ready and looking for therapy.
What inspires you?
I am often inspired by the amazing things people can do: music, art, a beautiful phrase, or a unique point of view.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
The first session is when a therapist gets the outline of their client, it covers a lot of topics and the topics are not focused on for long. The point of the first session is to get the general shape of who you are as a client.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session I want my clients to feel comfortable and heard, I want to explain what therapy will be like to make sure I am a good fit for my client and get an idea of what goals my client is working towards
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I don't like to rush my clients but I also like to stay on topic to make sure I am on time.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love to read, and go to the movies, I guess I just love a good story especially if there is a mystery I can try to solve or work out. I also love to go to new places and travel.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
Creativity; I love art projects and crafts. I love to make things; garden, cook, anything really
