About Tori
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 23 years of experience dedicated to helping individuals navigate grief, loss, relationships, and life transitions with compassion and clarity. My approach blends empathy, evidence-based strategies, and real-life understanding to create a safe and collaborative space for healing and growth. I believe therapy is a partnership rooted in authenticity, resilience, and the belief that every challenge holds the potential for renewal and self-discovery, and I provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can gain insight, build coping skills, and foster emotional growth.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, using cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients manage grief, depression, and life transitions.
You deserve a space where your story is heard and your healing is honored. Together, we will move at your pace, uncover your strengths, and build the tools you need for lasting change. When you are ready, I invite you to take the next step toward growth and peace. You do not have to do it alone.

"As a therapist who has walked through seasons of loss, growth, and renewal, I bring professional expertise and lived empathy to help patients feel understood, supported, and never alone in their healing journey."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I believe healing happens in safe, human connection. I have seen how empathy, skilled guidance, and practical tools can turn pain into purpose, and I wanted to offer that to others. Sitting with people in their hardest moments is an honor. I help them find language for their feelings, strengthen coping skills, and rebuild hope so life feels possible again.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to explore their emotions, make sense of life transitions, and build healthier patterns in how they relate to themselves and others. I often support individuals navigating grief, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges. My clients tend to value authenticity, reflection, and practical tools for lasting growth and emotional balance.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing is not about perfection or quick fixes. It is about progress, self-awareness, and learning to show yourself grace along the way. Therapy is a space where growth unfolds gradually, where setbacks are part of the process, and where every step, even the small ones, moves you closer to peace and wholeness.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, judgment-free space focused on understanding their story, strengths, and goals. Early sessions are about building trust, clarifying what brings you to therapy, and identifying patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we will create a plan that supports growth, healing, and lasting emotional balance.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and resilience, values shaped by both personal and professional experiences. I understand what it means to navigate loss, change, and renewal, and I bring that awareness into the room with compassion and humility. These experiences help me connect deeply with clients and remind them that healing is possible, even after pain.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client by first listening deeply to their story and understanding their goals, values, and lived experiences. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques, adjusting my methods to fit the client’s pace and comfort. Each session is a collaboration focused on what healing looks like for them
