About Provider

About Sarah

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress. I typically work with women ages 20–45, helping them identify issues that interfere with their ability to function or cause them to feel “stuck.” My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented—I work alongside clients to uncover patterns, set meaningful goals, and move toward healing and emotional balance.

I earned a Master’s in Social Work from Barry University. My therapeutic approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, and traumatic incident reduction to help clients gain insight, strengthen emotional regulation, and work through past trauma while developing practical coping tools.

If you’re ready to begin your journey toward emotional wellness, I would be honored to support you. I offer both in-person and online sessions, providing a compassionate space for you to heal, grow, and rediscover your inner strength.

I love being able to help people meet their goals and gain better mental health. I also love watching my clients overcome the charge of past hurts and traumas.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Age 20-40

Females

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Mapping out the current concerns and hx of the presenting problem, development of goals, and psychoeducation.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Pain x Resistance = Suffering

-Shinzen Young

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

Seeking to meet the client's need, through understanding their core values and beliefs.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I take time to understand what a client is trying to accomplish with therapy: Where do they want to be in 8 weeks? What are the barriers? In what ways do they feel I can help? What would have to happen for you to feel like you do not need therapy anymore?
