About Provider

About Sarah Jane

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with six years of experience supporting individuals and families navigating life transitions, anxiety, ADHD, relational issues, and family dynamics. I take a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and goals. In my practice, I work with individuals seeking meaningful change, greater self-awareness, and emotional growth.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling Education from The Citadel Graduate College in Charleston, South Carolina. I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, and grounding techniques to help clients develop balance, self-compassion, and sustainable coping tools.

I would be honored to work with you through the ever-changing process of therapy. I love helping others grow and believe transformation happens through evidence-based practices and genuine connection. Together, we can build the tools you need to live a more confident, grounded, and fulfilling life.

Get to know Sarah Jane

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I have always loved to help my younger sister, friends, strangers, etc! I believe it is important to talk about things and I enjoy when people realize something themselves.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Clients willing to try new things and learn more about themselves in the therapeutic process.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

It is truly a unique journey where every session is different. If you are able to be open then the process will be open to you.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

We will get to know each other and create a safe, open, honest, and trusting space for you to grow and heal.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

Life is complicated and full of feelings as is being human. I believe empathy, understanding, humor, and love can help us through.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I use a person-centered approach in therapy which allows the process to be based around your needs, wants, and goals. There is always flexibility in therapy.
