About Nargis
I'm Nargis Ali, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. I believe we all have unique strengths that help us navigate life's challenges. Seeking support through counseling is one way to rediscover and foster them. Since 2016, I have worked with both children and adults facing challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, and life transitions. My clients seek to build practical coping strategies, process painful experiences, or find emotional balance. My goal is to collaborate with you to create a secure path toward healing and personal growth.
My approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from CBT, DBT, ACT, and Family therapy to meet your unique needs. You can expect a gentle, nonjudgmental space where we target specific goals, process trauma, and develop practical coping skills. Together, we will build on your strengths to help you navigate transitions and find lasting relief.
Taking the first step toward therapy is a courageous act of self-care. Wherever you are on your path, please know you do not have to walk it alone. I am here to support you with compassion, understanding, and respect. When you are ready to begin your healing journey, I invite you to connect with me and schedule your first session.

"I believe therapy is a collaborative journey of healing, and I strive to offer an inclusive, gentle, and tailored space where both adults and children feel empowered to grow and thrive."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My journey into counseling was driven by a deep desire to provide inclusive, compassionate support to individuals from all walks of life. I recognize how difficult it can be to find a therapeutic space where you feel truly seen, safe, and culturally understood. I became a therapist to bridge that gap, offering a gentle and collaborative environment where both adults and children can process their experiences. Being able to walk alongside my clients on their path to healing and help them build practical tools for a brighter tomorrow is why I choose this profession every day.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Adults and children.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing is not a linear, overnight process, and there is no "right" way or timeline to get better. There will be days of great progress and days that feel like setbacks, and both are completely normal parts of growth. Therapy isn't about being "broken" and needing to be fixed—it is about discovering the resilience you already have and learning how to navigate life's challenges with more selfcompassion, patience, and support.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, my primary goal is to help you feel safe, comfortable, and truly heard. We will take things entirely at your own pace as we discuss what brings you to therapy, your personal background, and what you hope to achieve. In the early stages of our work, we will focus on building a strong foundation of trust, understanding your unique strengths, and collaboratively designing a personalized roadmap with both immediate coping strategies and long-term goals.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is deeply informed by my values of inclusivity, cultural humility, and the belief that every individual possesses inherent strength. As a multilingual therapist, I understand how unique cultural backgrounds and life transitions shape our experiences. I am dedicated to creating a gentle, nonjudgmental space where children and adults feel truly seen and respected, ensuring therapy is a safe partnership where we work together to process painful experiences and foster lasting, meaningful growth.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Tailoring therapy means honoring who you are as a whole person, including your age, life stage, and unique cultural background. Whether I am using gentle, playbased techniques to help a child process big emotions, or collaborating with an adult using CBT and ACT to navigate complex trauma or anxiety, I meet you exactly where you are. I view therapy as a partnership, which means we work together to build a safe space and a customized, practical toolkit that honors your lived experiences and empowers you to heal on your own terms.
