About Maxi
Maxi Malone-Deese is a diverse Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a wide range of experience in all sectors of therapy. Maxi has worked along with Child Protective Services. Maxi has experience working with individuals and families from diverse races, backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses, providing cultural sensitivity as well as quality individualized care. She has worked with a wide variety of age groups — from toddlers to seniors — and has specialties in couples, geriatrics, women ages 18-40, and minorities. She is well-versed in the areas of anxiety, depression, life transition issues, family conflict, and self-worth.
Maxi received her Master's in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Maxi has experience in private practice, agency, and state hospitals. Maxi utilizes a variety of therapeutic methods that include cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and person-centered therapy.
As a woman of color, Maxi understands the need for a safe space and is intentional about creating one for clients. Maxi allows room for authentic honesty without judgment all while providing the client with constructive criticism through love and empathy. Maxi wants to help clients deal with life in a way that promotes personal growth and self-awareness.
