Maureen Rosas is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 5 years of experience in the mental health field and more than 10 years of experience in education. She is dedicated to supporting the growth of children, adolescents, and families by guiding them through self-exploration and goal-setting. Maureen specializes in women's health and wellness, anxiety, coping skills, self-esteem, and stress.
Maureen completed her Master’s of Education in Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. Her background in education uniquely equips her to offer guidance and foster growth in individuals. Maureen utilizes multiple treatments such as Adlerian techniques, play therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
Maureen builds empathy by creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and validated in their experiences. She approaches each session with compassion, curiosity, and respect. Once a client is ready to explore their feelings, gain clarity, and work towards growth, Maureen invites them to reach out.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a counselor because I’ve always felt a deep calling to help others navigate life’s challenges and find healing. Through personal experiences and a strong passion for understanding human emotions, I realized that supporting others in their journey of growth and self-discovery is both fulfilling and meaningful.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, teens, families, and women.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I’m truly excited to work with clients who are driven to embrace change, confront their inner dialogues, and are enthusiastic about starting their journey toward becoming healthier versions of themselves.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I will provide a safe nonjudgmental space that allows for a collaborative therapeutic process.

What inspires you?
I’m driven by the idea of helping individuals and families navigate their challenges, gain clarity, and overcome obstacles in their life.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
We will get to know each other through an open dialogue, complete in-take questions, and possibly formulate a plan for future sessions.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where the client feels comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. I'd like to gain some insight into their challenges, goals, and what they hope to achieve through therapy.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I am an empathetic, caring, and knowledgeable person prepared to listen.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
You can find me on a beach somewhere, spending time with family, or binge watching the latest series.
