About Provider

About Maryanne

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 11 years of experience providing mental health care to adults, adolescents, children, and families. I specialize in supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.

I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Sam Houston State University. I utilize evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s needs, including cognitive behavioral therapy and trauma-informed care. I adapt my therapeutic style based on individual goals, comfort level, and presenting concerns.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it is your first time, but you do not have to go through it alone. I will meet you where you are and work alongside you to develop tools for healing, growth, and lasting change. Together, we can take the first step toward your goals.

Get to know Maryanne

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

Experiencing the impact of therapy in my own life opened my eyes to the possibilities of growth and healing that can emerge from the therapeutic journey.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Adults, young adults (18-25)

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

The more you subject yourself to the process, take what you learned in therapy and apply it to your life, the more healing and change you will experience.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

During our initial sessions we will explore and identify your main concerns and together we will create a plan of action to address each one. Along the journey we will assess the effectiveness of our plan and adjust accordingly to ensure we continue to work towards our goals.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I maintain an open conversations with my clients about the effectiveness of therapy and continuously redirect therapy to better address each client's unique needs
