Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor to provide a safe space for those who need it most.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I enjoy helping those teenagers and adults who have been challenged with anxiety, depression, and trauma/PTSD but always willing to help where needed.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I look forward to working with clients from all backgrounds and getting to learn more about their story and how I can be of assistance in their healing journey.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing that I wish my clients knew is that therapy can be a scary, challenging, and rewarding experience. I want you to feel comfortable and safe knowing that this space is for you to talk about anything that you want to.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because they create an environment where both clinicians and clients feel supported. Thriveworks strives to connect clients with the best clinician possible which allows clients to connect with a clinician who they can trust, feel safe with, and form a strong therapeutic alliance.
What inspires you?
Many things inspire me and motivate me but the greatest inspiration is getting to see the growth my clients make by investing in themselves.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session together, we will have brief introductions and move into getting to know you and your story. Together, we will identify the challenges you want to tackle and create an individualized treatment plan to meet your therapeutic needs.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I hope that after our first session together that we have built rapport, established a good sense of your therapy goals, and that you feel that we are both a good fit.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Right now, a large chunk of my time is dedicated to my PhD studies but I enjoy reading, watching movies, learning new recipes, and spending time with family.
