About Lizette
I have more than eight years of experience providing individual, couple, and family therapy in English and Spanish. I specialize in addiction, ADHD, anger management, anxiety, codependency, depression, domestic violence, grief, life transitions, parenting, trauma, PTSD, women's issues, and more. My own journey began with the belief that hope is not an end but a beginning. Growing up in a dysfunctional home taught me the power of choice, and I pursued the hard work to transform my life. That road helped me uncover solutions hidden behind the fog of despair, and it shaped my deep commitment to guiding others through their own healing.
I typically work with clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by past experiences—individuals and families seeking clarity, healthier relationships, emotional stability, or purpose. Many come to me wanting to break generational patterns, navigate life transitions, overcome trauma, or find a safe space where they can be heard and supported.
I want you to know that you don't have to navigate your struggles alone—your story matters, your healing matters, and hope is absolutely within reach. If you feel ready to take the next step toward growth, clarity, and meaningful change, I would be honored to walk alongside you. I invite you to schedule a session whenever you're ready.

"I help clients rediscover the hope and power of choice that once guided me out of the fog of a dysfunctional upbringing and into a life of healing, growth, and purposeful change."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because my own journey through trauma, childhood dysfunction, and difficult life experiences taught me the transformative power of hope and choice. Growing up, my parents didn’t have the tools to break the generational patterns they inherited, and I learned early on that “you cannot give to others what you haven’t been taught.” As I worked to heal, I began to see solutions that had once been hidden behind a fog of despair, and I realized I wanted to help others uncover the same clarity and hope. My personal healing ignited a deep passion for counseling and inspired me to support others in breaking cycles of pain, reclaiming their sense of hope, and creating meaningful, lasting change in their own lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I work best with clients who are ready for healing and transformation — individuals carrying trauma, anyone wanting to rebuild healthier patterns. I’m especially drawn to working with people who are seeking hope, craving emotional clarity, and determined to break generational curses so they can create a different future for themselves and their loved ones.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In your first session with me, you can expect a calm, compassionate space where your story is heard without judgment. I take time to understand what brought you to therapy, what you’re struggling with, and what you hope to change. Together, we’ll explore your goals, talk through your immediate concerns, and begin identifying the patterns—past or present—that may be shaping your current challenges. In the early stages of therapy, we focus on building trust, creating a sense of safety, and clarifying the direction of our work. I’ll help you gain insight into your experiences, offer practical tools you can start using right away, and work with you to set realistic, meaningful goals. You can expect honesty, encouragement, and a collaborative approach as we take steady steps toward healing, hope, and the lasting change you’re seeking.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is deeply informed by my belief that every person’s story deserves to be respected, honored, and never judged. My own life experiences have taught me the importance of compassion, patience, and truly listening to understand—not to respond. I know it takes boldness and courage for someone to come to counseling, and I honor that by creating a space where clients feel safe, valued, and supported. I believe in collaboration, walking alongside my clients as a partner in their healing, and empowering them to make choices that bring hope, clarity, and meaningful change. These values guide every session and shape the way I show up as a therapist.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs by first listening deeply to understand their story, struggles, and goals. I recognize that every person’s experiences, strengths, and challenges are different, so I combine evidence-based techniques with a compassionate, individualized approach. Together, we identify what resonates and what strategies will be most effective for them, whether that involves building coping skills, addressing trauma, navigating relationships, or breaking generational patterns. My goal is to meet clients where they are, guide them at their pace, and empower them to create lasting, meaningful change in their lives.
