About Linda
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 33 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in supporting clients facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction, as well as those working through life transitions. My approach is rooted in building a trusting and comfortable relationship, where clients feel valued and understood. I am committed to helping you set realistic goals, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful growth in your journey toward healing and wellness.
I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Texas A&M University–Commerce. My training includes eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. I tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs with compassion and sincerity.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor after I had completed my personal therapy and found it to be life changing. I want to help effect change in other's lives in a positive direction.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are ready to make changes. Also those who are looking for answers in difficult life situations.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I enjoy working with clients who are are motivated to make changes in their life situation.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that there is a bottom to their pain and disturbance. There are solutions to problems and issues and problems are not endless.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to work at Thriveworks because I like their Mission Statement and their positive outlook to working with clients.
What inspires you?
What inspires me is people and their unique and individual circumstances. I am also inspired by ones strength and resilience to overcome adversity. I am very inspired by anything creative, from a breathtaking view to the details of a flower.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In their first session with me, a client can expect a complete assessment, setting of achievable goals and simple assignments.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In their first session, I like to start establishing some trust and understanding. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is very important.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
They should know I am a good listener, I ask questions I feel important, I am detail oriented and my strong desire is to help.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
For fun/on my time off, I like to spend time with friends, read, needlepoint, go for long walks, do some creative writing.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I am a very creative individual on many levels.
