Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I understand the frustration and struggle that can come with facing anxiety and searching for meaning. Having seen how overwhelming it can feel to navigate these emotions alone, I wanted to dedicate myself to helping others find their way to peace, self-acceptance, and fulfillment.
What types of clients do you work with best?
My approach is collaborative and tailored, so clients who value a blend of empathy, practical tools, and evidence-based strategies tend to thrive in our sessions.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I’m excited to work with clients who are ready to explore the deeper layers of their experiences and are open to growth, even when it feels challenging.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that healing is a journey and that progress isn’t always a straight line. Real, lasting change takes time, and it’s okay to go at your own pace.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
The collaborative and client-centered culture at Thriveworks aligns with my own values, allowing me to meet each client where they are and provide tailored care to help them thrive.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by moments that connect us to the beauty and complexity of life—whether through music or cultures that offer new perspectives. And sometimes, it’s the simplest things, like the taste of fresh baked cookies, that remind me to savor the moment.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session, I’ll take the time to understand your unique experiences, background, and the challenges you’re facing. Together, we’ll discuss what you hope to achieve and set some initial goals for our work.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path forward.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Before scheduling a first session, clients should know that I bring a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to our work together, with a focus on practical, evidence-based techniques to help you navigate life’s challenges
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, traveling, gardening, and listening to live jazz music. I'm also a professionally trained ballet dancer, play the harp and love watching live theater.
