About Keyane

I'm Keyane Jackson, a licensed professional counselor dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges in a supportive, judgment-free space. My background in both education and mental health has given me experience working with a diverse range of clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, communication difficulties, emotional stress, and life transitions. I work with clients who are seeking healing, stronger relationships, healthier coping skills, and greater confidence in themselves and their future.

I use a collaborative approach that incorporates CBT, solution-focused therapy, and relationship-based interventions to help clients build insight, improve communication, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful change. Clients can expect a supportive environment focused on growth, healing, and practical tools they can apply in everyday life.

You do not have to navigate difficult seasons of life alone. Healing and growth are possible, and taking the first step can be one of the hardest yet most meaningful decisions you make. I look forward to walking alongside you as you move toward greater peace, confidence, and healthier relationships.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because my journey began in education, where I saw firsthand that many people were carrying emotional pain, stress, trauma, and life challenges that extended far beyond academics. I recognized a gap in emotional support and wanted to create a space where people could feel genuinely heard, supported, and understood. My passion for helping others, combined with my belief that healing and growth are possible, inspired me to transition into mental health counseling. I wanted to help individuals and couples navigate difficult seasons, strengthen relationships, and discover healthier ways to move forward.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Adults and couples.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish all clients knew that healing is rarely a straight line. Growth does not always look like feeling better every day, sometimes it looks like setting a boundary for the first time, having a difficult conversation, recognizing a pattern, or simply showing up even when things feel hard. Therapy is not about having all the answers, it is about creating a safe space to understand yourself more deeply and make meaningful progress at your own pace.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Clients can expect the first session and early stages of therapy to feel like a foundation building process. We will spend time getting to know one another, exploring your concerns, discussing your goals, and understanding your experiences in a supportive and judgment free environment. I want clients to feel comfortable showing up as themselves without pressure. Early sessions focus on creating a safe space, identifying patterns and strengths, and working together to develop meaningful goals and practical tools that support growth and healing.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I am guided by the belief that everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. My experiences in education and mental health have shown me how often people carry struggles silently while trying to meet the demands of everyday life. Those experiences strengthened my commitment to creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe being vulnerable, building self awareness, and creating meaningful change. I value authenticity, compassion, trust, and meeting clients where they are in their journey.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I believe therapy is not one size fits all, so I tailor treatment based on each client’s individual experiences, goals, strengths, and challenges. I take time to understand what brings a client to therapy, what has or has not worked for them in the past, and what they hope to achieve. I use an integrative approach and adjust interventions, pace, and techniques to ensure clients feel supported while receiving tools and strategies that fit their specific needs and circumstances.
