It began with a lot of experience learning to become a good listener to the people around me. I also have a genuine curiosity for science, learning how things work, how people work, and a deep love and respect for diversity in all respects. I eventually became interested in field of psychology, which opened the door to my work as a counselor. I choose to use my education, professional and life experience to do some good in the world, which gives me a profound sense of joy and fulfillment.

I always ask my clients to commit to weekly sessions to get a good rhythm going. I also ask my clients to make the information they get in session meaningful to their lives - that means you have apply it throughout the the week in between sessions. The reason I ask these things is because clients who choose to take an active approach to therapy as a collaborative process are the ones that make the most lasting changes. When clients come ready and open to change, they are able to progress more efficiently, and see improvements sooner.
