About Jared
Hi, my name is Jared, and I'm an LPC Associate with an M.S. in Counseling. I work with adults ages 18–63 navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, relationship wounds, identity development, and emotional pain. I also support LGBTQIA+ clients exploring identity, shame, religious trauma, self-acceptance, and rejection. My background includes PHP/IOP work with complex trauma, substance use, personality disorders, and major life transitions. I'm passionate about helping people move out of survival mode and toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
My approach is compassionate, direct, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I use CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and attachment-based work to help clients process trauma, regulate emotions, improve relationships, and break painful patterns. I also believe humor, authenticity, and joy are important parts of healing.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you do not have to navigate things alone. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported while working toward healing, growth, and lasting change. If you feel we may be a good fit, I'd be honored to work with you.

"As someone who has experienced personal trauma and PTSD, I know how much that can affect every aspect of a person's life, and what challenges it presents to becoming the healthiest version of yourself. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I personally came from a traumatic and tumultuous family upbringing and worked for years to overcome and heal from my own mountain of pain. As I learned how to regulate, heal, and show up for myself in healthy ways, my passion grew to help others achieve the same level of healing and peace. Over time my personal therapist began to beg that I pursue a career in helping others seeing how much I cared about helping others.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who feel like they’ve been carrying too much for too long—whether that shows up as trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, relationship pain, or just feeling emotionally stuck. I also work closely with LGBTQIA+ clients navigating identity, shame, religious trauma, and the impact of rejection or not being fully seen. I tend to connect most with people who are tired of surviving on autopilot and are ready, in their own way and timing, to start understanding their patterns and moving toward something more grounded, honest, and livable.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I think one of the most important things to understand about counseling is that you get out of it what you put it. However, often healing comes in layers, and things you think you are ready to deal with often come together in parts. So, be patient and gentle with yourself in the healing process, it can often take far more time than we would like.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space to share their story, current struggles, and goals at their own pace. Early sessions focus on building trust, understanding patterns, and identifying what feels most important to work on. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and direct, with room for authenticity and humor throughout the process.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
As someone who has had to survive and process my own trauma and issues, I come to the sessions with empathy, compassion, and understanding in how I approach your therapy session.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by meeting each client where they are and adapting to their goals, history, and needs. I draw from approaches like CBT, DBT, attachment-based work, and mindfulness to support trauma processing, emotional regulation, and change in a way that fits the individual. I stay collaborative and flexible, checking in regularly to ensure the work feels relevant, effective, and aligned with what matters most to the client.
