About Brittany
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas and a B.S. in Family Life: Human Development. I have experience in both school and clinical settings, including providing individual counseling, group support, and school counseling services. I currently work with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, depression, family conflict, academic stress, and life transitions. I aim to provide a supportive, collaborative space for growth and healing.
I use solution-focused and reality therapy with CBT elements to support goal-setting, behavior tracking, and skill-building. I specialize in anxiety, grief, adolescent/school issues, and life transitions. I aim to make sessions safe and include psychoeducation and skills training. Clients should expect to feel heard and gain tools in their progress.
You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, facing a life transition, or simply ready for change, I'm here to provide support, practical tools, and a safe space to grow. When you're ready, I'd be honored to be part of your journey.

"As someone who deeply values my family, I've learned that growth happens through support, encouragement, and small, intentional steps, and I bring that same perspective to helping clients navigate life's challenges and create meaningful change. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My passion for becoming a mental health professional comes from a deep belief that there is hope through life's challenges and that, together, we can discover meaningful solutions that foster healing and growth.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are open to an active, collaborative approach to therapy that includes practicing skills between sessions, knowing that these small, consistent steps can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that much of the growth in therapy happens between sessions. Our time together is an opportunity to process challenges, build skills, and develop a plan, but lasting change comes from practicing those skills and applying new insights in everyday life. Therapy is most effective when it's a collaborative process that extends beyond the counseling office.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first few sessions, we'll focus on getting to know one another and gaining a clear understanding of your concerns, strengths, and goals. These early sessions are an important time to build a relationship, establish expectations for the counseling process, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to help you feel heard and understood while creating a plan that supports the changes you want to make.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in values of family, hope, compassion, and respect for each person's unique experiences. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their challenges, recognize their strengths, and identify the values that guide their lives. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and meaningful change, and I tailor my approach to honor each client's unique background, experiences, and beliefs.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by allowing clients to take an active role in guiding our sessions and collaborating on their treatment goals. By focusing on each client's unique experiences and priorities therapy naturally adapts to meet their individual needs while providing the support and tools that are most relevant to them.
