Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist to make sure my clients feel truly seen and understood. My goal is to create a space where they know they aren’t alone, where they feel supported and empowered to take control of their own journey. Therapy isn’t about dependence—it’s about giving people the tools to shape their world with confidence and resilience.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I’m most excited to work with clients who are ready to engage in deep self-reflection and uncover the patterns shaping their lives. Therapy is a space for exploration, growth, and forward movement, and I thrive when working with individuals who are open to digging beneath the surface to gain clarity and create meaningful change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that growth isn’t about perfection—it’s about movement. Healing doesn’t mean never struggling again; it means building the skills to navigate life with more confidence, awareness, and resilience. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers, but about creating space to explore, question, and redefine what strength looks like.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by the resilience of those who continue to grow despite the weight of systems designed to hold them back. The strength it takes to push forward, redefine possibilities, and carve out a path in the face of obstacles—that’s what drives me. Seeing people reclaim their power and shape their own futures is what makes this work meaningful.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Your first session with me will be an intake, which means a lot of information gathering. It might not feel like therapy right away, but it’s an essential step in making sure I truly understand your needs. We’ll discuss your background, concerns, and goals so that I can tailor our work together effectively. This session lays the foundation for meaningful progress, ensuring that future sessions are focused and beneficial.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
After the intake, we focus on treatment planning. This is where we map out your goals and create a clear, structured plan that aligns with what you need from therapy. It’s a collaborative process—I want to make sure our sessions feel meaningful and purposeful, so we’ll work together to set a direction that supports real progress. You won’t have to figure it all out alone—I’m here to guide you, but ultimately, therapy is about helping you take control of your own journey.
