Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My career started in education as a teacher of English and Drama. Very quickly, it became apparent that students, parents, and colleagues just wanted someone with whom to talk and that person listen. I realized that I had a gift for listening and by listening helped others find a solution they were seeking, so I decided to pursue a new path in counseling.
