My name is Aimee Olivarez Warren and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor who has enjoyed helping people of all ages for over 15 years. I have years of experience working in non-profit, community, crisis, and private practice settings where I have honed my skills in the areas of individual, family, and group therapy. Additionally, I am skilled in working with individuals experiencing crisis, depression, self-harming behaviors, and addiction. I am most passionate about working with couples and adults to realize their full potential. I am sex and body positive and work well with the LGBTQIA community.
My approach is to meet my clients where they are at in their lives. I have experience using different evidenced based therapies and techniques to individualize treatment for my clients. We will work collaboratively to reach your goals and to help reach your full potential.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling when able and spending time with my 3 children. I really feel honored to do the work I am doing and look forward to meeting you and working together.

"As a person that comes from a cultural background that did not value mental health or feelings, I understand how we are impacted by how we grew up but we now get to create the lives we want for ourselves."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
While growing up in a Mexican American culture, I felt misunderstood and like my feelings did not matter. In my teens, I realized I did not want others to feel misunderstood or not accepted and that I wanted to help others. This started my journey into becoming a therapist.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with people that do want help and are willing to do some work and be gently challenged.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
That it takes time like anything else. It is like a muscle, you have to work at it and work it to get it stronger.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
We will go over your goals for therapy and start to talk about what brings you into therapy. Come as you are and we will figure it out without it being overwhelming.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I always want to help others and do the best I can do. Doing my own healing and work has helped me to know first hand that it is not easy and it does take work but it is possible to have the life you love.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I am always learning and growing in my knowledge with different modalities to help tailor therapy to each client's needs and goals. It will be a collaborative approach so that you can feel empowered in your life.
