About Yohana
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, and women's mental health concerns. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or seeking personal growth, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to build resilience, strengthen your coping skills, and help you create a more balanced and fulfilling life.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, drawing from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and women's mental health. Together, we'll identify practical tools, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
Seeking support is a courageous step, and you don't have to face life's challenges alone. No matter where you are in your journey, you'll be met with compassion, respect, and understanding. I would be honored to support you as you move toward healing, growth, and the life you want to create.

"I believe healing happens through genuine connection, and I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive space to be heard without judgment. I've always been passionate about helping people navigate life's challenges and recognize their own strengths, even during difficult seasons. It is incredibly meaningful to walk alongside clients as they heal, build resilience, and create lasting, positive change. Seeing individuals rediscover hope and confidence in themselves is what continues to inspire my work every day.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, or women's mental health concerns. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, adjusting to a new chapter, or seeking personal growth, I provide a supportive, collaborative space where you can build resilience, gain practical coping skills, and move toward lasting emotional wellbeing.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that healing isn't about being perfect or never struggling again—it's about learning to understand yourself with compassion, developing healthier ways to cope, and making steady progress over time. Therapy is a collaborative process, and meaningful change happens one step at a time.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore your goals, strengths, and challenges. My priority is creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we'll develop a personalized plan and begin building practical skills and strategies to help you move toward meaningful, lasting change.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing when they feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. I value empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore life's challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful, lasting change at their own pace.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I recognize that no two people have the same story, so I tailor therapy to each client's unique experiences, strengths, values, and goals. I draw from evidencebased approaches such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy, adapting our work as your needs evolve. Together, we'll create a personalized plan that feels supportive, practical, and aligned with what matters most to you.
