Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I wanted to help others recognize and utilize the healing power of creativity.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew is we are human and mistakes are a form of learning.

I chose to practice at Thriveworks because they have a very large and diverse pool of counselors which makes the potential to match clients with the right counselor more successful.

I am inspired daily by the many wonders which exist on the earth, in my country, community, and family. The beauty of nature often inspires me most.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Our first session starts with an introduction to art therapy and experientials in conjunction with required initial assessment steps.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
The first session is meant to allow the counselor and individual to become familiar with one and other. I will do my best to answer any questions and ease the pressure of any required assessments.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I will help you find the answers, I do not have all the answers.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy watching movies, roller blading, and walking my furry friends.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
Lindsey is unique and at times blunt or bubbly depending on the situation.
Can you tell us about a success you had with a client?
I've had several client's that I have worked with to confront trauma. Mapping out and communicating through these events in an environment that is calm and safe is something that I specialize in. Through this process the client can begin to harness their own emotions rather than being run by unconscious reactions.
