Caitlin is absolutely incredible and that is a huge understatement! She is caring, empathetic and always provides a safe and open space to talk about any and everything that's in my mind. She challenges me when I feel stuck and encourages me to always trust myself. She gives me items to work on and think more in depth about each week which has proven to be a huge motivator and game changer in my life. I've spent almost 3 years with her and I honestly don't know where I'd be without her in my corner. I hope every patient at Thriveworks is fortunate enough to have a therapist as wonderful as Caitlin.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I have known I have wanted to help people since I was in high school. My personal experiences informed my decision to pursue this as my career more than anything. Seeing how therapy can benefit a person was truly inspiring and led me to the point I am at today.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are willing to put in the work. A common misconception is that therapy is just a place to vent - but it is so much more than that! Therapy is hard work and can be mentally and physically exhausting. I'm a firm believer that 'you get out what you put into it' and oftentimes this means applying and practicing what we talk about in sessions, to your daily life. For example, you can't expect to start at QB in the NFL if you never played football in college; same thing goes for therapy - practice makes perfect so, let's get to work! :)
What inspires you?
I draw inspiration from lots of different mediums. Nature is a common inspiration for me as well as my friends. I think my single most significant inspiration at this point in my life is my family.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session, a client could expect me to ask questions regarding present concerns that brings you to therapy and anything else you feel would be important for me to know about you. In addition, we would discuss therapy goals and begin establishing our treatment plan.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I enjoy running, watching college sports (#geauxtigers), being outside, carpentry, and exploring the city that I get to call home.
