About Yvonne
I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice with 13 years of experience supporting adults, couples, and families as they navigate trauma, depression, and anxiety. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward, and together we work toward clarity, understanding, and meaningful change.
I earned a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University. I use a client-centered and integrative approach to help clients rebuild confidence, strengthen relationships, and find lasting peace. My work focuses on uncovering patterns, healing emotional wounds, and fostering self-trust in a supportive and compassionate space.
I know how hard it can be to carry everything alone. You deserve the time and space to breathe, heal, and feel like yourself again. When you’re ready, let’s take the next step toward your peace together.

"Life in the face of trauma, depression, and anxiety can make a person feel as though they exist in the shadows. I hold a space where you will be truly seen, safe, and supported in your journey toward wholeness."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Growing up I was very quiet which allowed me the opportunity to observe the way people interacted with one another. Through pattern recognition I realized that most arguments are caused by miscommunication influenced by each individual's history coloring the way they receive information. I realized core beliefs, negative or positive influenced how people interact with the world around them and violence changes how a person sees themselves and their place in the world. I became a counselor to share this insight with others and help them learn to effectively communicate, reframe beliefs, be kind and only allow kindness into their lives.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are committed to investing in themselves, their relationships, and achieving stability and growth.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish clients knew about therapy, mental health and the healing process is that it's not linear, and 100% accuracy is not expected.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session and early stages of the journey with me clients can expect an open non-judgmental ear.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be safe and not feel judged.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I ensure I am listening to my clients and meeting them where they are. My interventions are simply suggestions. We find what works together. I am always learning and looking for new solutions
