About Provider

About Tammy

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 17 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are navigating challenges related to trauma, depression, anxiety, anger management, behavioral concerns, grief and loss, adoption and foster care, and mood disorders.

I earned my master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University. My clinical approach is collaborative and strength-based, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution-focused techniques to support each client’s unique goals and needs.

I feel honored to walk alongside clients during some of their most difficult moments and help them reconnect with hope and healing. Together, we will build practical skills and insight to support growth, resilience, and positive change. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey.

Get to know Tammy

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

As a woman who struggles with anxiety, I am passionate about supporting those who silently endure similar challenges. I believe our brain is our most vital organ and deserves the same care and attention as our heart and physical body.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Mental health is as important as our physical health. It takes time to heal! One small step at a time wins the battle.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

I am a down-to-earth person. Our first sessions will be personal, and I will get to know you through our interactions. By the first or second session, we will work on creating achievable goals.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I see every person as unique, not just a number. I take time to get to know each individual and learn about their strengths and needs. Together, we work to tailor treatment that fits them best.
