Get to know Sarah

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

Sarah became a social worker because she’s always had a passion for people and a deep curiosity about what shapes us—our experiences, relationships, and the many factors that make us who we are. She believes everyone has a story worth hearing and values the chance to walk alongside others as they grow, heal, and rediscover their strength.

What types of clients do you work with best?

Sarah works best with a diverse range of clients, thanks to her experience in rural health and various practice settings. She is particularly passionate about women’s health and supporting the elderly, but her broad background makes her comfortable working with individuals from all walks of life. She’s committed to creating a space where everyone feels understood and supported.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Sarah is most excited to work with clients who are motivated to grow, especially those navigating life transitions and seeking hope along the way.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

One thing Sarah wishes all clients knew is that giving yourself compassion is key to progress. No one can move forward when they’re constantly beating themselves up. The skills that helped you survive hardships in the past might not serve you now, and that’s okay—together, we can find new tools that will help you thrive.

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Sarah chose to practice at Thriveworks because of the flexibility of remote work, allowing her to be accessible to clients in a way that fits their lives. She also values the warm, supportive environment Thriveworks creates for staff, making it a place where she can truly focus on providing the best care for her clients while feeling supported in her work.

What inspires you?

Sarah gets inspired by seeing others build hope and confidence in themselves. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch people grow and embrace their own strength. She also finds a lot of inspiration in nature—it’s a great reminder that growth takes time, but it leads to real, beautiful outcomes.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

In your first session with Sarah, you can expect a warm welcome and a chance to talk about what makes you, you. We’ll take time to understand the challenges you're facing and work together to set goals for how we’ll tackle them moving forward. It’s all about creating a safe space to get to know each other and start building the path toward your growth and independence.
