About Opal

Hi, I’m Opal Knight, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and BoardCertified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH) with a holistic approach to wellness. I help adults, especially women, manage anxiety, stress, life transitions, and personal growth. My clients seek strategies to navigate change, build resilience, and improve emotional wellbeing.

I use integrative, client-centered methods, including CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Mindfulness, to provide practical tools and guidance for managing stress, navigating transitions, and fostering balance and confidence.

I understand that life’s transitions and challenges can feel overwhelming. In a supportive, nonjudgmental space, we can work together to build resilience, clarity, and well-being. I invite you to take the next step toward your personal growth and schedule an appointment.

Get to know Opal

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a counselor because I’m passionate about helping people find peace of mind, gain clarity, and reconnect with the healthiest version of themselves. Life’s challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, and I believe everyone deserves a space to slow down, process their experiences, and heal. It’s incredibly rewarding to help clients reduce stress, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence, purpose, and emotional well-being.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work especially well with women who are feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life and are ready to prioritize their own well-being. Many of my clients are navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, or self-esteem challenges while balancing careers, relationships, caregiving, or other responsibilities. Together, we focus on finding greater peace of mind, gaining clarity, reducing stress, and reconnecting with the healthiest, most authentic version of themselves.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish all clients knew that therapy is not a sign of weakness—it is a courageous step toward understanding yourself, creating change, and prioritizing your well-being. Healing is a process, and it does not have to happen all at once. With support, selfcompassion, and the right tools, you can gain clarity, build resilience, and reconnect with the person you were always meant to be.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive space where we begin getting to know each other, discuss what brings them to therapy, and identify their goals for treatment. We’ll explore their experiences, strengths, and challenges while beginning to develop a plan that feels meaningful and achievable. Early therapy is a collaborative process focused on building trust, gaining insight, and creating practical steps toward growth and healing.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My practice is informed by the belief that every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. I value compassion, authenticity, resilience, and a whole-person approach to wellness. My experiences working with individuals and families have deepened my understanding of how life transitions, responsibilities, and challenges can impact emotional well-being. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients can gain clarity, reduce stress, and reconnect with themselves.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I believe therapy should be personalized to each client’s unique experiences, goals, values, and strengths. I use an integrative approach, drawing from evidencebased techniques that best support each individual’s needs. Together, we collaborate to identify what is most helpful, develop practical strategies, and create a path toward greater self-awareness, healing, resilience, and overall wellbeing.
