About Lian
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker–Clinical Practice with 3 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I believe every person can heal and grow when given the right support and understanding. I create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where people feel truly seen and heard, and I am passionate about helping clients build resilience, self-awareness, and emotional balance.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of New England. My approach to therapy is humanistic and client-centered, meaning I see you as the expert of your own life. Together, we’ll uncover your strengths, explore patterns that no longer serve you, and create meaningful goals for lasting change. If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing, I invite you to reach out. Together, we’ll create a space where you can breathe, reflect, and grow. It would be my honor to support you as you take this next step toward the life you want to lead.

"I am a warm, open-minded therapist who understands life's challenges firsthand and guides clients toward healing, balance, and self-compassion."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My journey as a therapist began long before I ever stepped into a classroom or sat in an office chair. It started with my own experiences navigating anxiety and living with ADHD, two companions that, at times, made the world feel unpredictable and overwhelming, yet also pushed me to grow, to question, and to understand people on a much deeper level.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work well with client's struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, change, grief, and loss.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy is a place to heal and grow in ways that are often unimaginable. Anxiety and depression can trick you into believing this isn't true. If you trust the process, you can experience profound transformation!
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a therapist that shows up with warmth, unconditional positive regard, and the desire to build a strong therapeutic alliance on day one, upon which great change can occur.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I am well acquainted with the obstacles life can throw at you and the pain of loss and trauma. My experience navigating life with anxiety and ADHD give me the unique ability to truly recognize and understand how difficult it can be to function in a fast-paced, and often overwhelming and overstimulating world.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
When you work with me, you’ll find warmth, compassion, and genuine curiosity. I strive to create a space that feels safe enough for honesty, laughter, tears, and everything in between. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, I integrate techniques that best meet your needs and goals, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and expressive tools like art and music therapy. Each of these approaches offers unique ways to understand your experiences, manage symptoms, and cultivate healing, mind, body, and spirit.
