Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
After years of teaching and working closely with people, I felt inspired to deepen her impact by offering the meaningful support that counseling provides.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I look forward to supporting individuals who are open to exploring their emotions, strengthening their resilience, and taking active steps toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I warmly welcome all individuals and couples who are motivated to grow and heal through a collaborative counseling process. I find particular fulfillment in supporting clients navigating postpartum challenges, drawing from my own personal experience to provide empathetic and informed care.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One important insight for client's to understood is that therapy is a journey of self-discovery that thrives on honesty, patience, and a collaborative partnership.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I partnered with Thriveworks to make quality, affordable care accessible to more individuals seeking support.
What inspires you?
I find inspiration in the small “glimmers” of everyday life—whether it’s finishing a good book, watching my children play outside, my husband preparing a delicious meal, or witnessing a client experience a meaningful breakthrough during a session.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session clients can expect to answer background questions, utilize assessments if necessary, and then the space to utilize "free association." This allows clients to speak freely and openly, sharing whatever thoughts, feelings, or memories come to mind without censorship or judgment.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to establish a foundation of trust and rapport, understand the client’s main concerns and goals, gather relevant information, and explain the counseling process and confidentiality. This sets a safe, collaborative tone to move forward.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I approach counseling with honesty, directness, kindness, and self-awareness, and find fulfillment in guiding clients toward insight—whether through witnessing their “light bulb” moments or gently challenging negative thought patterns.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my time off I am an avid reader, enjoy walking through the Lowcountry's parks with my family, trying new recipes with my husband, and find peace in running with my 90s/2000s country and pop turned up.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I am driven by a deep desire to help those around me become their best selves, and advocacy is a meaningful part of my life both personally and professionally.
