About Kristen

Kristen Fortuna is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of NY. She has more than 15 years of experience providing clinical services to children, youth, couples, and families, as well as more than a decade providing clinical supervision/consultation. Kristen completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary College and received her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Capella University. She has post graduate training in Trauma Informed Care, Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Kristen is passionate about helping counselors achieve a sense of confidence and competence by utilizing a collaborative, strength based, and trauma-informed approach. She enjoys providing training on topics including motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, and preventing compassion fatigue.
