About Jasmine
As a bi-racial woman with 20 years in the education field and a plethora of life experiences, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate the challenges they face in today's world while continuing to pour into their loved ones, maintain their households, and dedicate energy to work, hobbies, or both. My approach prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and integrates psychoeducation and a variety of therapeutic approaches to create and implement personalized treatment plans that promote lasting change.
I provide guidance with improving communication, setting boundaries, and strengthening family dynamics. I strive to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their feelings. My therapy sessions are client-centered, goal-oriented, practical, educational, and aimed at achieving meaningful results through collaboration and support.
As a parent and educator, I am passionate about improving the lives of young people by working with their parents, caretakers, educators, or coaches. I am uniquely positioned to help adult clients understand their pasts, process trauma, and better understand the children in their lives. If this sounds like the support you need, I look forward to meeting you!

"Going to therapy is like cleaning out your junk closet, and my role as a therapist is to be present while you pull the stuff out, listen while you process why you have kept things for so long, motivate you while you figure out where it can be properly stored, support you while you grieve having to let stuff go, and lastly, help you brainstorm how to make better use of the space once you're ready. "
Get to know Jasmine
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have an innate desire to help people, and after six years in a high school ELA classroom, I realized that my passion was less about teaching literary concepts and more about facilitating the connections between students and literarautre as they used characters and scencarios to navigate life. As a therapist, I get to combine my love for teaching and helping others as I assist clients with understanding their mental health and taking the necessary steps towards self-improvement.
What types of clients do you work best with?
As I prioritize psychoeducation, I work well with teens and adults who are open to understanding mental health and interested in making the necessary changes for improvement.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Healing is hard. As you uncover and process repressed emotions and develop new cognitive process, you will feel things deeply and be challenged. Don't give up.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Enter sessions with me as you would a lunch date with a friend you haven't seen in ages. Be prepared to speak frankly, laugh, and maybe even shed a few tears as we begin to establish a healthy therapeutic relationship. Your ability to trust me and relax is key to us being able to move forward.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I am a mother, partner, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and best friend. In addition, I am a helper, educator, listener, traveler, and researcher. I value education, diversity, and communication. I bring these things into every therapy session, allowing me to build strong therapeutic relationships and help clients find their footing to make headway on their goals.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
From the start, I encourage clients to speak candidly and identify the goals that lead them to therapy. Together, we explore and prioritize their goals and discuss how I, as a therapist, can best support them.
