I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice with 3 years of experience supporting queer and gender-diverse clients, trauma survivors, and neurodivergent individuals. I specialize in helping clients feel more authentic, build healthy habits, and heal in ways that honor their unique identities. I aim to create a safe, affirming, collaborative environment where clients can explore challenges, discover strengths, and develop greater self-understanding.

I have aMaster’s in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. My approach is trauma- and queer-informed, and person-centered. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, polyvagal theory, and eclectic methods with elements of art therapy. I also incorporate my love of games and “nerdy” interests to promote connection and self-awareness.

Starting therapy takes courage, and I strive to make the process feel safe and supportive. My goal is to help clients feel seen, accepted, and empowered as they work toward healing and growth. When you’re ready, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward greater self-acceptance and well-being.

"As a queer nonbinary person with lived experience of trauma, I bring an authentic understanding of intersectionality and approach each client as a whole person, considering the many environments and systems that shape their lives through a person-in-environment perspective."

Get to know Grey

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a counselor because I know what it feels like to need support and not have it available. Those experiences inspired me to create the kind of safe, affirming space I once needed. I genuinely love people and find deep fulfillment in witnessing their growth, healing, and every stage of their journey.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with teens and adults in the queer community, as well as those who have experienced trauma or are learning to manage anxiety, depression, or ADHD. I strive to create an affirming, supportive environment where clients can explore their identities and build meaningful coping skills.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Progress in therapy isn’t linear. Like a train on its tracks, we are always moving toward our goals, even if we pause along the way. Healing takes time, and it’s okay to pause, reflect, and gather strength before continuing toward your destination.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In the first sessions, I focus on building rapport and understanding what’s important to you. I aim to see you as a full person, not just your symptoms, because a strong, collaborative relationship is the foundation for meaningful growth and progress in therapy.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I am queer and have personally experienced trauma, which informs my empathy and understanding in therapy. I align my practice with values of acceptance, respect, and inclusivity, striving to create a safe space for people from all walks of life to be seen, heard, and supported.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I meet clients where they are, whether that’s exploring emotions, building skills, or simply sitting in quiet. Each person is unique, so I tailor therapy through collaboration, experimenting in session, and discovering what approaches best support your growth and goals.
