About Delsondra
I am a licensed independent social worker-clinical practice (LISW-CP) with 21 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. I specialize in helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional healing. My goal is to offer clarity, encouragement, and practical strategies so clients can move toward meaningful change and greater balance in their lives.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, and empowerment-based practices to help clients build insight, develop strengths, and overcome barriers to their well-being.
Seeking therapy is an act of courage, and I would be honored to support you on your path. In our work together, we will explore what wellness looks like for you and identify steps that feel realistic and empowering. I aim to help you create a life that feels fulfilling, balanced, and aligned with your goals.

"I help you build the confidence and clarity to live a more empowered, authentic life."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, supported, and understood. Helping people reconnect with their strength and live more authentically is my greatest purpose.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I’m a great fit for clients who want to strengthen their self-awareness, break old cycles, and step into a more confident, aligned version of themselves. I especially enjoy working with individuals motivated to create change and open to building new skills.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish everyone knew about counseling is that it’s not just about solving problems—it’s about discovering yourself. In the safety of a supportive space, vulnerability becomes a strength, and healing begins as you truly see and understand who you are.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming space where we get to know each other. I’ll ask about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and what feels most important to you right now. In the early stages, we’ll work together to clarify your goals, identify your strengths, and begin building trust at a pace that feels comfortable. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive environment where you can show up as yourself and begin exploring what you need for growth and healing.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Having navigated my own life transitions and moments of uncertainty, I understand the importance of being seen, heard, and supported. My practice is rooted in values of respect, authenticity, and collaboration, which inform how I guide clients toward self-awareness, healing, and empowered living.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I adapt my approach to meet each client where they are, using techniques and strategies that fit their goals, strengths, and life circumstances. Therapy becomes a personalized process focused on growth, self-discovery, and lasting change.
