Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I find fulfillment in helping others understand that change isn't as hard as it seems and that breakthroughs are possible.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with teens, young adults, and middle-aged clients.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I work best with clients who are open to making an effort and actively working through their challenges.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew and understood that they are not alone. We are all human, each with areas to grow, and support is always available. By identifying our goals and staying focused, we can achieve anything.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because of its mission, the opportunity to work with a diverse population of clients, and the ability to offer remote services. This allows individuals to be in their "comfort zone" while discussing difficult topics.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session, you can look forward to a relaxed, welcoming, and comfortable atmosphere. You’ll feel heard and empowered in a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can openly share and discuss your concerns and challenges.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Counseling can feel overwhelming or intimidating, especially for those new to the process or returning after some time. My goal is to provide a supportive, motivating, and encouraging space where you feel heard and understood. Through personalized treatment, I will meet you where you are, address your unique needs, and tailor our sessions to best support your journey. By the end of our time together, I hope to help you gain clarity, self-awareness, confidence, and a deeper understanding of your emotions—empowering you to grow and share your experiences with others.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, spending time at the beach, crafting, and watching or attending basketball and football games.
