About Cassandra
Cassandra Johnson, preferably called Cassie, is an experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Nurse (LCSW, RN). She more than 20 years of experience in holistic care, combining clinical counseling and health care to practice. Cassie is passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, and couples address their unique challenges and live more fulfilled lives. She specializes in mood disorders, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship issues, and major life transitions.
Cassie completed her Master's degree in Social Work at the University of South Carolina and is presently completing her Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at Walden University. She utilizes multiple treatment approaches, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and more.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My journey to becoming a counselor and mental health practitioner was a path that found me. Life shows you the way, and it's up to you to walk through the door. Over the past 20 years, I have continued to "walk through the door," helping people lift their voices and find strengths they never thought possible.
What types of clients do you work with best?
My career has been spent working with individuals across their lifespan, school-aged and beyond.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with clients who want to participate in counseling services and seek an opportunity to gain understanding and embark on their journey of change and discovery.
