I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a background in helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and improve their emotional well-being. I work with adults 18 and older experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, develop healthier coping skills, build confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. I bring warmth, honesty, compassion, and a little humor to our sessions. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges, I'll meet you where you are. Together, we'll strengthen communication, develop coping skills, build confidence, and find a path forward.

You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes downright exhausting. Whatever you're facing, you deserve a space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and know you're not being judged. Taking that first step can be hard, but you don't have to do it alone. I invite you to schedule an appointment.

"I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported, and I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can navigate life's challenges, discover their strengths, and work toward meaningful, lasting change."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to understanding people, their stories, and what makes them who they are. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, valued, and understood, especially during life’s most difficult moments. I wanted to create a space where people could be themselves without fear of judgment. For me, being a therapist is about more than helping people work through challenges. It’s about helping them recognize their strengths, find their voice, build meaningful connections, and realize that change and healing are possible, even when life feels overwhelming.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply tired of carrying everything on their own. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, communication difficulties, or major life transitions. I especially enjoy working with people who want to better understand themselves, break unhealthy patterns, establish boundaries, and build healthier relationships. You don't have to have everything figured out or even know where to start. I value authenticity and appreciate clients who are willing to explore their experiences, even when the process feels uncomfortable. My goal is to meet you where you are, help you recognize your strengths, and support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish everyone knew that healing isn't linear, and you don't have to have everything figured out to begin. Some days you'll make great progress, and other days you may feel like you're taking a step backward. That's okay. Therapy isn't about becoming a completely different person or fixing something that's "wrong" with you. It's about understanding yourself, recognizing your strengths, learning healthier ways to cope, and giving yourself grace along the way. Growth takes time, and even the smallest steps forward matter. Most importantly, you don't have to navigate it all alone.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. I understand that opening up to someone new can feel awkward or even intimidating, so I do my best to create a relaxed, welcoming space where you can just be yourself. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what's been going on in your life, and what you're hoping to gain from our time together. You don't have to share everything at once, and there's no pressure to have all the answers. In the early stages, we'll work together to identify your goals, explore patterns that may be holding you back, and begin developing practical tools to help you manage challenges, improve communication, and feel more confident. I believe therapy should be a conversation, not an interrogation, and we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I believe our life experiences shape who we are, how we see the world, and how we connect with others. My own experiences navigating life's ups and downs have taught me the importance of resilience, compassion, patience, and sometimes finding humor in difficult situations. I value honesty, authenticity, and treating people with kindness and respect. I also recognize that life isn't always simple, relationships can be complicated, and change isn't always easy. These values shape how I approach therapy. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, and I certainly don't believe in judging someone for the choices they've made or the challenges they're facing. I strive to bring both my professional knowledge and my humanity into every session, creating a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, even on their hardest days.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I believe therapy should fit the person, not the other way around. Everyone comes into therapy with their own story, experiences, strengths, and challenges, so I take the time to really get to know you and understand what matters most to you. I draw from approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based techniques, tailoring our work to your goals and comfort level. Some clients benefit from practical coping strategies, while others need space to process emotions, explore past experiences, improve communication, or establish healthier boundaries. I also recognize that what works for you today may not be what you need six months from now. My approach is flexible, collaborative, and down-to-earth. We'll regularly check in about what's helping, what's not, and what we might need to do differently. Ultimately, you're the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you discover the tools, insight, and confidence to move forward.
