About Charlotte
Charlotte Raine is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has more than 10 years of experience. She specializes in treating individuals struggling with trauma and abuse, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions in young adults and across their lifespan. Charlotte is also a EMDR trained clinician.
Charlotte graduated from Simmons University with a Master's degree in Social Work and a specialization in trauma-informed care. Post graduation, she has worked in community mental health settings alongside first responders while providing care through a co-response model. Charlotte utilizes a person-centered approach and treatment plan to help explore struggles and create new philosophies for your everyday life in a warm and gentle environment.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
From a young age I enjoyed hearing peoples stories, their struggles to their triumphs, but I realized that sometimes these stories go unheard, and those are the stories that I wanted to listen to most.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with young adults, college aged students and adults struggling with life transitions and looking to make changes for the better.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with all individuals who are looking to grow and deepen their understanding of themselves.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
That we are all born with everything that we need to overcome life's obstacles.

What inspires you?
I am inspired by resiliency great and small. A persons ability to smile and see the funny side of life despite the struggle.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect a warm and gentle environment in the first and all sessions to come.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session we will explore some personal and family history, that "why now" for seeking therapy today, and identify your goals for treatment.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I offer in-person and hybrid sessions. I enjoy sharing humor with my clients.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
When I am not in the office, I enjoy loving on my two pups, eating way too many snacks while watching tv and practicing yoga.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
We are all born knowing our true self, but life causes us to forget who we are at our center, practicing coming back and remembering who are is the journey; forgetting and remembering.
