About Amy

Amy Quinn is an Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Rhode Island with over 30 years of experience supporting children, adults, and families through life’s challenges. She understands that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, and she strives to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood.

Amy works with individuals navigating behavioral health concerns, child development challenges, and major life transitions. She has experience supporting clients coping with new diagnoses, divorce, trauma and abuse, grief, depression, and anxiety.

She is especially passionate about providing parenting support, helping caregivers feel more confident and connected in their relationships with their children. Amy also understands the unique strengths and pressures of single-parent families and offers thoughtful, practical support tailored to their needs.

Amy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages from Boston College and her Master’s in Social Work from Rhode Island College. Her approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and strength-based. She draws from cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, emotionally focused, and sensitivity-focused approaches, always tailoring her work to meet each person and family where they are.

Above all, Amy believes therapy is a partnership. She is committed to building a trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients.
