About Teyanna
Teyanna Brunson is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with a certificate in forensic psychology. She has had the pleasure of working with a variety of clients. She has worked with children with autism spectrum disorder, ODD, ADHD, and conduct disorder. She has also worked with adults from the ages of 18-93. Teyanna specializes in trauma, PTSD, sexual trauma, substance use, depression, grief, and postpartum.
Teyanna recently graduated from Rosemont College with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She received her undergraduate education from Shippensburg University, where she received her BA in Psychology with a minor in Biology. Through her education, she has extended her passion for motivating people to evolve and grow throughout life’s twists and turns. While working at a Veteran's Affairs hospital, she was able to work alongside a team of psychologists and therapists who guided her through the different complexities and traumas veterans face day in and day out. She then began to realize life overall has many complexities which we should focus on. Teyanna's approach to therapy varies from client to client which includes client-centered narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness.
Teyanna's goal is to help her clients connect with their true selves by building autonomy. She plans to show what trust, support, effectiveness, and compassion look like for her clients, while also doing her part to break the stigma behind counseling in minority communities.

"As an African American female, I believe ethnic and racial identity is the foundation of a person."
