Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to be a counselor because I have always been a good listener. I've always loved to provide a space for others to talk about what's bothering them. It fills up my cup to empathize and support others. I wanted to be a social worker because I wanted to be a part of the change I want to see in the world.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with clients who are open minded and want to improve the quality of their life.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with all clients, and especially those who are new to therapy, or clients that want to get to know themselves better. I feel that self-discovery is one of the best parts of therapy!
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that things really do get better. Life is full of ups and downs, but there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel.

What inspires you?
I am inspired by people's willingness to open themselves up. The strength of others and their ability to continue in the face of adversity pushes me to be a better clinician.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Clients can expect a safe, non-judgmental space where they can be open about their story so far.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, I hope that together we can explore what your goals are for therapy, and discuss how to get there.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Clients should know that I am compassionate and professional, but love to let my personality show. I think it is important to be yourself as often as you can.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Outside of work, I enjoy going for hikes, camping, journaling, and spending time with my partner and our cat. I also relax by coloring, playing video games, and reading fiction.
