About Sarah
Sarah Manley is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Art Therapist (AT-BC) with over 10 years of experience in supporting individuals in reaching their wellness goals. Sarah specializes in supporting individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and co-occurring symptoms.
Sarah completed her graduate studies at Drexel University. Sarah utilizes a trauma informed care approach with each client and works to build compassionate rapport. Sarah practices with a patient centered mindset and pulls from various interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), to support a client's needs. She works to balance introspection and skill use to support clients in making values aligned choices and changes.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I became a counselor to help and support others find their way towards their best selves. We all deserve a life worth living.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited to work with anyone who is ready to find out more about themselves.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that asking for help/support and starting where you are takes courage. Change is hard and possible for all.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I chose to practice at Thriveworks because I would like to be able to support my community in access to quality, sustainable, and compassionate care.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by our abilities as humans to be curious, become aware, and the power of change. I am inspired by those who seek to build a life that supports their best selves.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first meeting, clients can expect to be greeted with compassionate non-judgmental care. Clients will be asked a series of questions to support an understanding of where they are and what they are looking to address in therapy. Clients will also be provided with an overview of my style and areas of expertise to see if it is a good fit to support their journey.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In our first session, I would like to support a client in feeling comfortable and safe in sharing their journey to asking for help and what they would like to focus on with therapy.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
Clients should know that I appreciate the time and dedication it takes to work on yourself. I am here to support you in reaching goals and supporting you on your path towards understanding and, at times, change.
