About Rachel
Rachel Phelps is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio with 8 years of professional work experience. She has experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & trauma and abuse. Rachel works with clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. Rachel is here to support you in that process.
Rachel earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University. She focuses heavily on cognitive behavioral therapy to look at negative thinking patterns and how they influence emotions and actions. She also focuses on solution-focused therapy to work on creating goals to help address some of the client's overall concerns.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have always been big on supporting and helping others. During my own upbringing I had often wished someone was there to talk with and support or guide me. I now have a passion for being that for others.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I love working with clients who really have a motivation to change, a willingness to improve or work on some aspect within themselves.

I have a passion for working with all clients who are seeking support and willing to help themselves.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Change is possible.
What inspires you?
The rewarding feeling I get from helping others and having those success stories.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session together we will work on just a general rapport building session where I'm getting to know you a little bit more and some of the bigger picture including background information and what has you seeking therapy.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Rapport building first and foremost as well as background gathering and understanding the clients goals for therapy.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love to travel and just enjoy time with my kiddos.
