Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor to help people. I believe that everyone should have their experience validated and their feelings believed. I am passionate about everyone having that safe space to work through their thoughts and feelings, without judgement.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with those who are ready to enter into their journey of healing and change. I believe that everyone knows what is best for themselves, but that there are times that things get in the way of being their best selves.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am most excited about working with a client who is ready to embark on this journey with me. I am ready to provide that safe space to take that brave first step of reaching out.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish that everyone knew and believed that they are worthy of therapy and self-care.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I decided to practice with Thriveworks because they take care of the therapist just as much as the clients walking in the door. They support everyone in the process.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by my clients who are making connections and making changes, no matter how small or large that change is.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session, I hope to create a safe space for you to share what your concerns are, what your goals are and what you hope to get out of therapy.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to ensure that we are a good fit. I also want to make sure that we have good goals that are created together.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
You should know that I am going to be listening and not judging anything that you share.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love listening to music. I love also taking my dog for a walk and playing with my kids.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
