About Jennifer
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 29 years of experience supporting adults and parents navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional overwhelm. Many individuals I work with feel disconnected, uncertain about their direction, or struggling to manage intense emotional responses to stress and life transitions. I provide a warm, grounded, and practical therapeutic space focused on stability, confidence, and sustainable coping skills.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from Simmons College. My work is grounded in evidence-based, client-centered approaches that emphasize emotional regulation, self-awareness, and practical coping strategies. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, and stress-related concerns, supporting clients in creating meaningful, values-based change.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in patterns that no longer serve you, therapy can offer a supportive space to pause and reset. You deserve care that meets you where you are and helps you move forward with clarity and compassion. When you’re ready, taking the next step can lead to meaningful and lasting growth.

"I strive to create a warm, grounded space where clients feel truly seen, drawing on my 20 years of experience in behavioral health to help people heal, grow, and reconnect with their strengths."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I was drawn to the field of counseling, beginning as a school counselor and eventually becoming a clinical therapist, because I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and helping individuals of all ages navigate challenges.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to explore their experiences, curious about understanding themselves, and open to building a collaborative, trusting relationship.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing that I wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, and the healing process is that it is a unique journey for each person and that each of us is going through something, or has been through something, and we are not alone.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our initial sessions, you can expect a calm, supportive space where we take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your history, and what you hope to gain from our work together. This stage is focused on building trust and understanding so that you feel comfortable, heard, and respected.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is guided by empathy, authenticity, and a belief in resilience. Drawing on years of experience in behavioral health and education, I create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches to support healing, growth, and meaningful change.
