About Gia
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 6 years of experience supporting individuals through challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I’ve worked in a variety of mental health settings, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient programs. I have experience working with neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with ADHD, and I strive to create a safe, inclusive environment for self-reflection and growth. My goal is to help clients identify strengths, develop coping skills, and build insight that leads to meaningful and lasting change.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Arcadia University with a certification in trauma treatment. My approach combines evidence-based practices with genuine empathy and curiosity about each client’s unique experience. I aim to foster a trusting, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking clarity, you don’t have to face it alone. I believe therapy should feel supportive and empowering, not intimidating. We’ll move at your pace, together, as we work toward greater understanding and healing. Take the first step by scheduling a session so we can begin.

"As a neurodivergent individual who has engaged in my own mental health treatment, I know the importance of feeling truly seen and understood by a therapist."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I know what it’s like to be on the other side. As someone who’s been through mental health treatment for trauma and ADHD, I’ve experienced the healing power of having someone truly listen and understand while providing insight and coping skills. Those experiences inspired me to show up for others with empathy, honesty, and a deep belief in the ability to grow and recover. I know change is possible, because I’ve lived it.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are active participants in their treatment and recovery.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that recovery is not linear and that recovery looks different for each individual
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, I will take the time to get to know you and gather information to determine the best course of action. I like to take time to build trust and rapport in order to foster a positive therapeutic relationship.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My own experiences with trauma, ADHD, and mental health treatment have deeply shaped how I approach therapy. I know how vulnerable it can feel to seek support, and I strive to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and respectful of your lived experience.
I practice from a foundation of compassion, anti-racism, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming care. I’m also mindful of the inherent power dynamics in therapy, and I work intentionally to center your voice and autonomy in the process. You are the expert on your life; my role is to support, not steer.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
In my work, I tailor therapy to meet each client where they are. Drawing from a person-centered approach, I prioritize creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace. At the same time, I integrate tools from therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and building healthier relationships while adapting these skills to fit your unique context and needs. From a trauma-informed lens, I remain attuned to how past experiences may impact the present, and I work collaboratively with you to ensure therapy feels empowering, not overwhelming
