Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I've always believed in the power of being seen, heard and supported, especially during life's most difficult moments. over the years, I've witnessed how healing it can be for someone to have a safe space to speak honestly and feel understood without judgment. I was drawn to this work because of my deep respect for resilience, and I find purpose in helping people reconnect with their strengths, navigate challenges and move toward a more grounded meaningful life
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, depressed, anxious, or burnt out. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted or unsure where to start and I offer a calm, supportive space to help them sort through what's going on reconnect with themselves and move forward with more clarity . What types of clients am I most excited to work with I also work well with people who may be hesitant about therapy I meet them where they are and they'll trust at their pace
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with clients who are ready either actively or quietly to make a change. That doesn't mean they have all the answers but they're open to exploring what's not working and why, I especially enjoy working with adults who are navigating burnout depression anxiety and life transitions or just a mental load of daily responsibilities I find it meaningful to support people who care for others for now learning to care for themselves. Helping them rediscover their own needs, values, and strengths is deeply rewarding What's one thing you wish all clients knew
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that they don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You don't need the perfect words or a clear plan- just the willingness to show up. Growth often starts in the mess, not the clarity, and it's OK to come as you are. Therapy is a place where we can sort things out together one step at a time
