I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. I have 1 year of experience in mental health counseling and 2 years of experience in behavior therapy. I work with couples and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, or currently stuck in a life transition. Individuals and couples seeking guidance as they navigate life are ideal clients.
Using empathy, encouragement, and therapeutic knowledge, I help people navigate anxiety, low mood, and life changes. Together, we'll identify patterns, set meaningful goals, and develop practical ways to respond to difficult thoughts and emotions
You will be met with openness and curiosity as you bring uncertainty, questions, and your own priorities into our conversations. I am excited to meet you as we begin working together for the benefit of your wellbeing!

"As someone who has experienced trauma and the benefits of resilience, I understand the support that is needed to empower us to make desired changes for our wellbeing."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I have desired to help others since I can remember. After years of helping people reach fitness goals as a trainer, I began to realize changing our outer appearance alone does not change how we feel about ourselves. I decided to become a counselor after realizing our inner experience shapes our outer experience. My desire as a counselor is to help assist people in working through mental challenges and make desired changes to their lives.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients that are willing to try new things and are open to different perspectives. Therapy is a collaboration, so it will take both of us working together for healing and growth to happen.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Even when participating in therapy, the healing process is not linear, meaning somedays will be better than others. However, your therapist will work with you through each phase if you let them.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The early stages of therapy will be spent getting to know each other. Our first session will consist of me learning what has worked for you in past therapy experiences, what brings you to therapy, and your hopes for your therapy with me. You will also be encouraged to ask any questions you may have for me inour first session and throughout our time together.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Throughout my life, I have learned that we as humans are more similar than we are different. We all experience life through the same set of emotions. However, our relationships with our emotions are different. Understanding one's relationship with emotions is a great start for change.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Allowing client's to collaborate in their therapy allows for their unique needs to be met. Utilizing check-ins for feedback and progress made toward desired outcomes will inform needed changes that will allow each client's unique needs to be met.
