Get to know Bridget

Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I enjoy hearing and discussing what is on someone's mind, being a sounding board, and helping them process their thoughts and emotions.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I have experience working with a wide range of ages and I work well with people who wish to explore and understand their anxieties, emotions, and find their own path.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Clients who are willing to try to be as open and honest as they can be during our sessions.

What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?

Therapy is a great emotional outlet - even for laughter!

Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?

Thriveworks provides the ability to meet with a diverse population both in person and in virtual settings. It's a great way to be able to connect.

What inspires you?

The arts, biographies, travel, and spontaneous moments are inspirational.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

In the first session, I will begin to get to know you by learning about your background and you will get to describe to me what you are currently experiencing.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

By the end of the first session, individuals will determine their own therapeutic goals that identify what they would like to work towards, build upon, and learn during their sessions.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

Concerts, exhibits, coffee with friends, and trying to get through my stack of magazines and books.

What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?

I lived abroad throughout my life and the experiences have shaped my perspective and understanding.
