About Ben

Welcome! My name is Ben. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of PA. I work with individuals facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, set realistic goals, and develop effective coping strategies to improve their overall well-being and achieve lasting positive change.

My approach to therapy is rooted in a person-centered experience for the client. No two clients are the same, so I pull from a range of therapeutic modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, EMDR, and Existentialism—to meet each client's unique needs. I also approach my work in a trauma-informed way and never assume that I understand your experience.

If you feel like I may be the right fit for you, I encourage you to reach out and schedule an appointment to explore how I can support your journey toward well-being.

Get to know Ben

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I chose to become a counselor because I wanted to offer a supportive space to talk for those who were going through serious challenges with their mental health.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work best with clients who show up on the bad days, not just the good days. I believe that the days we struggle the most are usually the most important days to come to therapy.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish all clients knew that perfection isn't my expectation in therapy. I think just showing up and trying is the real difference in the healing process, and that this often takes time.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In the first session, we will work together to develop a treatment plan for you, and decide on areas of focus for our sessions together.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I value the importance of each person's individual story and I am honored when clients feel comfortable to share a portion of that story with me.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I start by trying my best to get to know the client as a person. In therapy, some clients are going to really appreciate a to the-point kind of style, where as others want someone to walk along side them through their emotions. By genuinely getting know the client, I can work out the nuances of how to make therapy work for them.
