To better understand the influence of experience and environment on their own personal life track, Asia returned to education as a nontraditional adult student to complete high school curriculum and pursue studies in Psychology. While independently raising a child, Asia further persevered to graduate with honors and obtain a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the CACREP accredited, Rider University. Asia now pays it forward with a unique empathy that comes from tackling a wide range of personal adversities. Asia knows the grit that it takes to push through some of the most uncomfortable, hardest, and scariest times, which are too often experienced in solitude. Asia understands that beginning in the womb, our lives are altered and behaviors molded by familial and societal influences. A change in thinking patterns can bring about new experiences which could help to alleviate conditioned behaviors and Asia will support you in exercising your power to create a new narrative in the areas of life you come seeking to change.
With empathy, patience, and evidence-based intervention, Asia hopes to provide you with positive experiences and opportunities to learn and practice new skills for increasing your quality of life; this is your story, and it is an honor for Asia to become an added support as you navigate life challenges and celebrate your accomplishments. While receiving resources, encouragement, motivation, and strategies to assist you in being an active participant in your mental health journey, and through addressing current stressors and their underlying causes, you will learn ways to be proactive and to better adjust to future changes. Asia operates with an underlying goal of helping you to ultimately find peace with your past, mindfulness in the present, and hope for your future. Connect with Asia to schedule an appointment.
